Ground frame designer
Design the ground frame for your solar plant
Solispec picks the profiles and posts, checks the frame against snow and wind to the DBN and prices it down to the last bolt.
The job
After the survey you have an hour to give the customer a figure that will not double later: the frame with its bill of materials, the equipment, the electrics with cables and protection, the installation and the delivery. And the next project has to use the same prices without copying by hand.
How it is done in Solispec

«Designer»: lay out the panels and get the frame — «Bill of materials», «Kit» and «Fasteners» count the profiles in bars, the connectors, the clamps, the bolts and anchors with a 10 % margin.

«Electrics»: the panels are laid out over inverters and strings, cables, protection and a battery are added; on Pro, strings per MPPT input with voltages and currents.

«My prices»: load a price list from Excel or set the price of any item and a markup on a group — the estimate and the proposal use them in every project (Pro).

Questions and answers
Which prices does Start use?
Solispec’s typical prices for Ukraine at the NBU rate. Your own price list is on Pro: any item can be changed, a group by a percentage, a price list loaded from Excel.
Are the electrics in the estimate?
Yes: inverters, a battery, DC and AC cables, protection and connectors. On Start a priced list and the overall check; strings per MPPT with voltages and currents on Pro.
How is the steel counted?
From the drawings: the lengths of all parts are laid out over standard bars, «Cutting» shows the waste, «Bill of materials» the metres per item, «Kit» how many bars to buy.
Can I add labour and delivery?
Yes, installation, delivery, a markup in percent and VAT are rows of the estimate you set yourself.
Does the estimate update when the design changes?
Yes, at once: change the panel count or the tilt and the bill of materials, the electrics and the estimate are rewritten. A saved project version stays as it was.
Can I show the estimate to the client?
The client sees the proposal: your logo, the options and the validity date, by link or as a PDF. The internal estimate with the purchase prices stays with you.
